While the CA/Broadcom SaaS team takes care of the upgrade & data conversion from Oracle to PostgresSQL, we at Albatroz help can help convert the custom components such as custom portlets, NSql queries, GEL scripts, Jaspersoft reports that use Oracle SQL to PostgresSQL compatible components. During the conversion we review & provide our expert recommendations & optimizations where ever needed to ensure these custom components can continue to function in 15.7.1 on GCP, without any disruption to business.

Discover:
The first step in the process is to discover all the custom components created by the customer in the Clarity PPM instance. Then, from this list identify the ones that are impacted due to migration to PostgresSQL. An automated script discovers precisely, all the custom portlets, process and dynamic lookups and identify the customizations that are impacted by PostgresSQL migration. This helps the team focus on only the impacted ones.

Analyze:
In this step the statistics and information from the previous step are analyzed manually by the team of our experienced consultants. Each of the impacted customizations are carefully reviewed, assessed and a technical approach with specific changes to make it PostgresSQL compliant is identified & documented.

Convert:
Leveraging the output of the “Analyze” step, each impacted component is made PostgresSQL compliant and regression tested. Wherever possible, necessary optimizations are done to the existing queries in order to ensure they can perform better if not same once migrated to the GCP on 15.7.1
